NEW DELHI, AUG. 17. Protesting against "black deeds" of the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor, Deepak Nayyar, the Delhi University Teachers' Association today staged a black flag demonstration on the North Campus. The DUTA president, Aditya Narayan Misra claimed that he had been manhandled by "professional goons" allegedly employed by the Vice-Chancellor. "The Vice-Chancellor has employed these goons. They came towards us during the demonstration and pushed me because of which I feel on the ground. They even twisted my arm," alleged Mr. Misra. The demonstration today was part of the call for boycotting Dr. Nayyar. "We have decided to socially boycott the Vice-Chancellor and whenever he will go for any function. We will also go there wearing black badges," said Mr. Misra.
