Kunjarani to move up a place

ATHENS, AUG. 18. Despite finishing fifth in the women's 48kg category, weightlifter N. Kunjarani Devi will move up a place after Nan Aye Khine of Myanmar, who had grabbed fourth, tested positive for a banned drug.

In the 48 kg event, Turkey's Nurcan Taylan had won the gold, lifting 210kg while China's Li Zhuo (205) bagged silver.

Aree Wiratthaworn lifted 200kg to bag the bronze and Nan lifted 190kg to finish ahead of Kunjarani.

Meanwhile according to IOC, Nan was requested on Thursday to provide a urine sample for a doping control. — UNI
