BANGALORE, AUG. 18. Overnight leader Amardip Malik slipped down a rung as Aditya Singh and Manav Das climbed to the top spot in the second round of the Royal Challenge southern amateur golf championship at the Bangalore Golf Club. The star of the day, however, was Moin-ud-din Malik who fired a hole-in-one on the 164-yard par 3 third hole. Malik's joy was however short-lived as he failed to make the cut. Aditya Singh's card of one over 71 was good enough for him to share the lead with Manav Das who returned with a two over 72 for the day. There was only one sub par score, Karanjeet Singh's one under 69. Aditya Singh had a disastrous 11th where he ended with a triple bogey. Another bad hole on the 13th, which ended with a bogey, made the junior golfer dejected but a birdie on the 15th was only a small consolation as he duffed the next hole immediately. On the back nine, Aditya was a different golfer. Manav Das was once again steady as usual. Shrugging off two bad holes from his tee-off on the 10th, Manav recovered to score birdies on the 13th, 14th and 7th.
