AIDWA demands action against police

CHENNAI, AUG. 18. Members of the All-India Democratic Women's Association and the National Federation of Indian Women today staged a demonstration in the city demanding disciplinary action against the policemen who assaulted students on August 6. Dozens of women carrying placards raised slogans, condemning police action on members of the Students Federation of India who staged a protest in the DPI complex on College Road to protest commercialisation of education.
