Not a wise move

Sir, — The cut in the customs and excise duties on petroleum products is a step in the wrong direction. How long can the cut continue? What will be the future loss to the exchequer if the price of petroleum products continues to soar? How does the government plan to recoup the financial losses? And, are cuts the only solution to containing inflationary trends?
