THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 19. Palakkad will host all the four Ranji Trophy Plate games scheduled to held in the State this season. Kerala opens its campaign against Himachal Pradesh on November 7. All the matches will be held at Fort Maidan. This was decided at the Central Council meeting of the Kerala Cricket Association held here recently. The meeting also decided on the domestic calendar for the coming season. The open trials for Ranji Trophy selection will be held from October 19 to 22. But the venue has not yet been decided. The KCA calendar for 2004-05: Ranji Trophy: Kerala v Himachal Pradesh (Nov. 7 to 10) at Palakkad; Kerala v Orissa (Nov. 16 to 18) at Palakkad; Kerala v Bihar (Nov. 25 to 29) at Bihar; Kerala v Sourashtra (Dec. 4 to 7) at Palakkad; Kerala v J & K (Dec. 13 to 16) at Palakkad. Seniors: Open trials from Oct. 19 to 22 (venue not decided); Under-22: Inter-zonals from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7 (venue not decided); Under-19: Inter-zonals from Oct. 2 to 10 (venue not decided); Under-17: Inter-dist. matches to be conducted in two pools: Pool `A': Sept. 16 to 26; Pool `B': Sept. 21 to Oct. 1; semifinals and finals from Oct. 11 to 13 (venues not decided); Under-15: Inter-dist. matches in two pools: Pool `A': Sept. 4 to 14; Pool `B': Sept. 9 to 19; Semifinals and finals from Sept. 24 to 26 (venues not decided).
