BANGALORE, AUG. 19. Six meet records were established on the opening day of the three day KPMG-Cadet Bangalore City inter-school athletic meet at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Thursday.

The results (winners only): Boys: Under-16: 1500m: Somnath K.V (ABW) 4:36.8s; Long jump: Harsha Danda (Bishop Cotton) 6.00m (NMR-Old: 5.91m). Under-14: 100m: M. Ravi (Maria Niketan HS) 12.0s; Shot put: Salman Khan (St. Johns HS) 10.03m. Under-12: High jump: Sanjay (Lady Vailankanni HS) 1.28m. Under-10: 100m: Archit Sinha (National Public) 14.1s.

Long jump: S. Shivaprasad (New Florence English) 4.15m (NMR-Old: 3.84m).

Under-8: 200m: D. Anirudh (Vidya Niketan ) 32.5s.

Girls: Under-16: 100m: Natasha Sagar (Baldwin Girls) 12.65s (NMR); 800m: K.R. Leena (Assumption HS) 2:33.6s (NMR-old: 2:38.6s).

Under-14: High jump: G.M. Aishwarya (Baldwin Girls) 1.48m.

Under-12: Long jump: Nirupama (Baldwin Girls) 4.16m; Shot put: Alysha Punja (Vidya Niketan) 8.16m (NMR- old: 7.24m).

Under-10: 100m: Anisha D. Karumbaiah (Sophia HS) 15.2s.

Under-8: 200m: Reshma Joseph (Cambridge Public) 36.1s.
