Tiruchi group of NCC goes online

TIRUCHI, AUG.19 . The Tiruchi Group of the National Cadet Corps went online with the launch of its web site by the Deputy Director General of NCC, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Commodore. P. P. Singh, here today.

The web site, nccgptiruchy.org., would provide comprehensive information about the group and serve as a single-window information platform on the NCC.

Students and institutions seeking information on NCC could access the same through the site. NCC cadets, associate officers, the faculty of schools and colleges and aspirants who want to join the army could get appropriate information from the site.

The site would provide information on all the nine units functioning under the Tiruchi NCC group, including photo galleries, profiles of commanding officers and the unit history.

Students could access information about the NCC certificate examinations, scholarships and forthcoming events. Relevant application forms could be downloaded.

It would soon have teaching resources and question banks to make it an e-learning site for the cadets.

Photographs of outstanding cadets and their achievements would be highlighted.

An alumni corner would provide details on achievements of the alumni to motivate the students.

Col. P. S. James, Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, and other senior officials participated in the inaugural function.

Earlier, Commodore, P.P.Singh, accepted a guard of honour presented by the NCC cadets before inspecting the various units in the group.
