VMC to discuss underground drainage charges

VISAKHAPATNAM, AUG. 19. The Council meeting of the VMC to be convened on Friday will discuss the rationalisation of underground drainage connection charges as per residents' welfare associations demands.

The Secretary of Visakha Citizens' Welfare Association, A. Suresh, said the new Municipal Commissioner, had agreed to place a proposal before the Council for considering UGD charges on the basis of property tax being paid by them instead of their being based on the plinth area.
