Three killed in fire

HYDERABAD, AUG. 19. Three members of a family, including an 11-year-old boy, were killed and another woman suffered serious burns in a fire in Parsigutta under Chilakalguda police station area late on Thursday night.

The victims were identified as Mallesham (70), his son, Ashok (40) and grandson, Sampath (11). Ashok's wife, Yadamma, who received 90 per cent burns, was shifted to the Gandhi hospital. "Ashok is a kerosene dealer. We are told 900 litres of kerosene was stored in his house," the Gopalapuram ACP, Tajuddin, said. The cause of the fire was not known.
