RTC steps to prevent bunching of buses

HYDERABAD, AUG. 19. The city region of the A.P. State Road Transport Corporation has initiated steps to prevent bunching of buses on high traffic routes with dual operations among different depots in a phased manner. As part of this exercise, eight ordinary buses are to be distributed between Mehidipatnam and Kukatpally depots.

These buses are being introduced with 64 single trips on route 19Y/F - Borabanda to Mehidipatnam via Yousufguda at an average frequency of 17 minutes with the first bus starting at 6.20 a.m. from Borabanda and the last bus at 8.34 p.m.; the first bus from Mehdipatnam will start at 5.47 a.m. and the last bus at 9.12 p.m.

Metro buses

Similarly, eight Metro Express buses of Cantonment depot are being distributed between Cantonment and Dilsukhnagar depots with 60 single trips on route no.90D/47Y- Dilsukhnagar to Filmnagar via Nagole, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, Ameerpet, Yousufguda and Jubilee Hills Check post at an average frequency of 20 minutes. The first bus will start from Dilsukhnagar at 7.20 a.m. and the last bus at 8.30 p.m.; the first bus from Filmnagar will start at 6.45 a.m. and the last bus 7.49 p.m.

Twelve ordinary buses of Musheerabad depot are being distributed between Musheerabad and Cantonment depots with 102 single trips on route no.40 - Secunderabad to Koti via Bata, Kavadiguda, MLA Quarters at an average frequency of 10 minutes. The first bus will start from Koti at 5.41 a.m. and the last bus at 10.31 p.m.; the first bus from Secunderabad will start at 5.55 a.m. and the last bus at 9.45 p.m., a press release by the Regional Manager, C. Panduranga Murthy said.
