Manan, Rafath for World championship
KOLKATA,
AUG. 20.
Four cueists, including defending World champion Pankaj Advani, reigning Asian champion Alok Kumar, along with Manan Chandra and Rafath Habib will represent India in the IBSF world snooker championship to be held in Holland in December.
According to the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) secretary, C. Kapur, Manan Chandra of Delhi and Rafath Habib of Railways were ranked third and fourth at the end of the snooker selection trials held recently at the SAI (Eastern Centre) behind Alok Kumar and Pankaj Advani.
Final ranking (total points in brackets): 1. Alok Kumar (9155), 2. Pankaj Advani (8715), 3. Manan Chandra (7539), 4. Rafath Habib (7535), 5. Yasin Merchant (7265), 6. Brijesh Damani (6614), 7. Rishab Thukral (6368), 8. B.V.S. Murthy (5981). Our Special Correspondent
