Chuang Chia-Jung given pride of place

NEW DELHI, AUG. 20. Chinese Taipei's Chuang Chia-Jung has been given the pride of place for the $25,000 ITF women's tennis tournament to be held at the DLTA courts here from August 23 to 28.

Rushmi Chakravarthi, Sania Mirza, Ankita Bhambri and Sai Jayalakshmy are among the 20 direct acceptances for the main draw of 32. In addition, Archana Venkatraman, Sonal Phadke, Lisa Pereira and Sanaa Bhambri are the other Indians who have made it through wild cards.

Preeti Rao, Rati Kumar, Karishma Patel and Vishikha Chhetri are the wild card entrants for the qualifying rounds.
