Auto drivers demand rollback of fuel prices

PONDICHERRY, AUG. 20. Members of auto-rickshaw drivers' trade unions today staged a demonstration in front of the Transport department here today, urging the Centre to withdraw the increase in prices of petrol and diesel effected recently as it had come to cause inexplicable hardship to meet cost of fuel.

The agitators earlier took their auto-rickshaws in a procession and presented a memorandum at the end of demonstration to the transport authorities.
