CHANDIGARH, AUG.20 .The Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, has announced that no farmer will be arrested for effecting recovery of outstanding cooperative loans including the loans obtained from the Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank. He said this had been decided in view of the hardships being faced by farmers, first due to drought in the entire State and subsequently flash floods in some parts of the State. Mr.Chautala made this announcement after presiding over a Teej Utsav in Hisar last evening. The State Governor, A.R.Kidwai, was the chief guest at the function. It is for the first time that the Teej celebrations had been held outside Chandigarh.
