Philatelic exhibition

TIRUCHI, AUG. 20 . The Department of Posts will organise a district-level philatelic exhibition from September 4 to 9 at the Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School in the City, a release issued here by the Department of Posts said.

Students and stamp collectors hailing from the revenue district of Tiruchi and the Tiruchi Postal Division covering Ariyalur, Sendurai and Udayarpalayam Taluks, are eligible to participate in the exhibition, the release said. The prospectus, along with application forms for submission of entries, are available at the Philatelic Bureau, Tiruchi Head Post office. The last date for submission of filled-in applications is August 25. The frame allotment will be made at the discretion of the organising committee by August 28. The exhibitors should hand over the exhibits duly packed along with the inventory forms on or before August 31, the release said.

The objective of the show was to promote philately in the locality, the release added.
