Security tightened

HUBLI, AUG. 22. The police have tightened security in Hubli as a precautionary measure in view of the judgment expected on Monday in the Idgah Maidan case.

The police said 15 platoons of the KSRP and the District Armed Reserve had been deployed and vigil was being maintained in sensitive areas. Depending on the developments on Monday, a decision would be taken on reinforcements, Ravikante Gowda, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said here today.
