Musharaf shines

HYDERABAD, AUG. 22. Musharaf Khan's all round performance (seven for 27 & 72 not out) helped Midhani XI score a nine wicket win over IDL in the A Division league cricket championship for institutional teams here on Sunday.

In another match, Bhavani Shankar also took seven wickets for 37 runs for Kishore Sons XI which beat AP High Court by 66 runs.

In the lower divisions schoolboys performed well. B. Shashank scored 207 not out (28x4) and along with M. Pradeep (106) and Safdar (158 not out) helped Rajus CC to beat HDCA by 372 runs.

In the B Division, Sundeep Rajan (132 not out) and leg-spinner Rushendra Sai (five for 32) enabled Bhavans HS Khammam to beat St.Anthonys HS by 212 runs.

A Division Institutional league: IDL 141 (Ravi 32, Prasad 59, Musharaf Khan seven for 27) lost to Midhani XI 144 for one (Musharaf Khan 72 not out, Anil Kumar 54).

Kishore Sons XI 134 ( Huzure three for 17, Sana three for 33) bt AP High Court 68 (Bhavani Shankar seven for 37, Jitender Johar three for 30).

Indian Airlines 185 for eight (Hussain 31, Venu 33, Prasad thee for 68, Ahmed Khan five for 63) lost to Hyderabad Bottling CC 189 for six (Baig 40, Md.Iftequaruddin 60, Saad Bin Mahfooz 39).

NFC CC 216 (Waheed 74, Narasimha Rao 30, Pavan thee for 33, Shafiullah four for 43, Sastry three for 17) bt Central Bank 143 (Siddharth 35, Shafiullah 32, Vikram 31, Narasimha Rao four for 38, Waheed three for 21).

A Division two day matches for Jayawant Rao trophy: Crown CC 298 bt Wimco 267 (Ankith 110, Ravi 34, Bhaskar Narayan four for 64, Suresh three for 42).
