BANGALORE, AUG. 22. Three persons allegedly committed suicide and one died in an accident in city on Sunday. A girl from Jharkand, who was studying in third year BBM course in a college, allegedly committed suicide in a women's hostel in High Grounds Police Station limits on Saturday, the police said. The police gave her name as Swetha Srivastava (25). She was staying along with two others in Bowi Sangha's Ladies Hostel in Jasma Bhavan. The police said the girl took the extreme step after being betrayed by her friend. Shivamma (27), unable to bear stomach pain, allegedly committed suicide in Thyagarajanagar Police Station limits on Saturday. The police said the woman, who got married recently, hanged herself with a plastic wire. Mohana (52), said to be a drunkard, hanged himself to a tree in J.B. Nagar Police Station limits on Saturday, the police said. They added that the victim had deserted his wife and children 10 years ago.
