Venture capital fund from SIDBI

NEW DELHI, AUG. 23. Small Industries Development Bank of India will soon launch a Rs. 500-crore venture capital fund for facilitating entrepreneurship development in SMEs in manufacturing and services sectors.

"For a fast-track entry into the VC market, SIDBI has drawn a three-pronged approach including funding at the State level, setting up a separate VC company and establishing international linkages for wider flow of funds,'' the SIDBI Venture Capital Fund CEO, Ajay Kapur, said here today.
