KOZHIKODE, AUG. 23. Local girl N. Sandhya did well to take half-a-point off the top seed Bhagyashree Thipsay, but lost a full point to a less formidable rival later in the day. She went down to H. Sowmya, who's proving to be the surprise package of the 31st National women's `B' chess championship.
