Irani Cup match from Sept. 22

MUMBAI, AUG. 23. The Board of Control for Cricket in India's 2004-05 domestic season will begin with the Zal Irani Cup match between the 2003-04 Ranji Trophy champion, Mumbai and Rest of India. The five-day match will be played at Mohali from September 22 to 26.

Mumbai will host two limited over tournaments, the N.K.P. Salve Challenger Series (d/n) from February 7 to 10 and the Ranji one-day knock out tournament from February 14 to 20.

The Challenger series will be played at the Wankhede Stadium. The Ranji one-day knockout matches may be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, Cricket Club of India and Bombay Gymkhana. The top two teams from five zones qualify for the knockout.
