ATHENS, AUG. 23. India conceded a penalty corner in the dying minutes to draw 2-2 with Argentina in men's hockey on Monday. Gagan Ajit Singh scored a brace for the Indians, while Matias Vila did the same for Argentina. In the men's 400m, the United States completed a sweep with Jeremy Wariner taking gold. Kelly Holmes of Great Britain won the women's 800m, upsetting Maria Mutola of Mozambique, who finished outside the medal bracket. Emilie Lepennec became the first French gymnast to win gold in the women's asymmetric bars event, as Russian great Svetlana Khorkina's eight-year domination came to an end. Catalina Ponor of Romania picked up her third gold of the Games when she won the floor exercise final. Athanasia Tsoumeleka (in picture) of Greece won the women's 20-km walk, staving off a challenge from the former Russian world champion, Olimpiada Ivanova. Ivanova finished four seconds behind to take silver.
