NEW DELHI, AUG. 23. A 30-year-old man and his 50-year-old brother have been arrested by the South-West Delhi police for allegedly criminally assaulting a 13-year-old girl repeatedly over a period of time. The wife of the accused has also been arrested for allegedly supporting the accused in the crime. According to the police, the Police Control Room today received a call from Najafgarh in the morning about a 13-year-old girl being criminally assaulted by two men over a period of time in full knowledge of their family members. The Najafgarh police reached the spot and recorded the complaint of the victim. As per the complaint, the girl was brought to one Jai Hind Dubey, a resident of Guru Nagar in Najafgarh, last November by an unidentified person. The man told Jai Hind that he would return in a couple of days and take the girl with him. However, he never came back. Jai Hind then employed the girl at his tea stall. In December, the complainant said, Jai Hind forced her to establish physical relationship with him. When Jai Hind's wife came to know about this, she protested and asked Jai Hind to stop assaulting her. This led to a couple of altercations between the two but Jai Hind managed to convince her after which she allegedly began abetting her husband in the act. After a couple of months, Keshav Dubey, elder brother of Jai Hind, also began criminally assaulting the girl. Keshav's wife had died earlier. After subjecting the girl to continuous torture, the accused were also apparently planning to get the girl married to Keshav. Najafgarh police have registered a case under various section of the Indian Penal Code and arrested Jai Hind, his wife and Keshav. The police are now trying to trace the man who had left the girl in Jai Hind's house.
