Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the resignation of the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Uma Bharti, in the wake of a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against her. While the Bharatiya Janata Party may have become a victim of its own campaign on the `tainted' Ministers issue, is the Congress not using the incident as a means to settle political scores?
Lakshmi Venkataraman,
* * * Sir, The Congress has done a great favour to the BJP by forcing Ms. Bharti to quit. The BJP will use the issue to invoke sympathy by claiming she was arrested for attempting to unfurl the national flag.
N. Nageswaran,
* * * Sir, When there are burning issues to be resolved, the people at the helm are busy digging into a decade-old case against Ms. Bharti, which was dropped by the S.M. Krishna Government. No politician seems to be an exception to indulging in vendetta politics.
R. Sathwik, R. Rithwik & Aashitha,
