Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Indian hostage drama is getting more and more dismal with each passing day. Without any diplomatic or military backup, Indians are most vulnerable as has been proved by the abduction of three truck drivers in Iraq. Officially, New Delhi is in the dark about the existence of scores of Indians in Iraq. Added to this is the fact that in Iraq, where the drama is unfolding, governmental authority is non-existent and this case involves groups with whom India has no leverage.
