Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the editorial "Resolve the issues" (Aug. 23). Members of the judiciary have been members of the legal profession earlier and advocates are known as officers of the court. They constitute one family with the common interest of securing justice to the people. As mentioned in the editorial, we hope the Chief Justice of India will take appropriate steps for upholding the respect of both the Bench and the Bar.
C. Lakshmi Narain,
* * * Sir, If a lawyer, after accepting plaint and fees from a client, fails to appear when the case is called, is he not committing breach of trust? What image is a lawyer projecting when he shouts abuses, hurls stones at buses, breaks into courts in session, and assaults colleagues?
R. Ramakrishnan,
