By Our Staff Reporter
PATHANAMTHITTA, AUG. 24. The Akhila Malankara Orthodox Almaya Vedi (AMOAV), an organisation of lay members of the Malankara Orthodox Church, has called upon Asianet Television to stop the telecast of the serial on Kadamattathu Kathanar as it hurt the religious sentiments of the Orthodox Christian community. Addressing a press conference here today, the AMOAV president, Shibu K.Abraham, and general secretary, Preeth G. George, alleged that the script of the serial was a distortion of the history, tradition and culture of the Malankara Christians. The Vedi leaders said that they would initiate legal action against the TV channel as well as the producer and director of the serial, if they failed to stop its telecast with immediate effect.
