KOLLAM, AUG. 24. The Energy Conservation Society (ECS) in association with the Energy Management Centre will take the initiative to open more energy conservation clubs at educational institutions. Under the programme such clubs will be opened at high schools, higher secondary schools, polytechnics, arts and science colleges and professional colleges. In a statement here the ECS general secretary, S. Ratnakumar, said that during the academic year various energy conservation based competitions would be held at educational institutions to spread awareness on the subject. The authorities of those institutions interested in cooperating with the ECS for opening such clubs are requested to contact the chief coordinator of the programme at Bhavikom, 64, Akshaya Nagar, Kadappakada, Kollam-691008 or on phone number 0471-3123342.
