TDP raps `poor' arrangements

VIJAYAWADA, AUG. 24. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has voiced concern over the `inadequate' arrangements for the Pushkarams in the district. A delegation of party's district and urban units' leaders, who visited the Prakasam Barrage and bathing ghats here on Tuesday, said most of the important works were yet to be completed. The team led by the district unit president, T.D. Janardhana Rao, visited Padmavathi, Krishnaveni and Durga ghats. Mr. Rao said the concrete works were not finished at the Durga Malleswara Ghat where an estimated one lakh pilgrims would be taking holy dip every day.
