By Lalit Shastri
BHOPAL, AUG. 24. The new Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Babulal Gaur, today said that he would ensure that the administrative machinery in the State remained disciplined, honest and accountable to the public. The Chief Minister made this assertion in an exclusive interview to The Hindu on his first day in office at the State Secretariat. Mr. Gaur was sworn in Chief Minister on Monday evening. He succeeds the firebrand BJP leader, Uma Bharti, who quit in the wake of the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against her by a court at Hubli in Karnataka in a 10-year-old case of rioting. Mr. Gaur said he was leaving for Delhi tonight to discuss with the BJP central leadership to finalise the list of those to be inducted as Ministers. His team of Ministers would be sworn in on Thursday on his return from Delhi.
