Karen Singh shines in Gowlipura's win

HYDERABAD, AUG. 24. Karen Singh took eight for 26 and then scored 61 to help Gowlipura CC beat AB Colony CC by four wickets in the Hyderabad Cricket Association's A Division one-day league match here.

In the A Division two-day league matches, Hemanth Kumar took six for 42 for Jai Bhagwathi CC against Gujarathi CC and T. Chandrasekhar took six for 34 and scored 53 for Crown CC, which beat Ours CC by seven wickets.

In the HCA inter-school league, Ahmed Bahmeshan scored an unbeaten 205 for Boys Town, which beat St. Pauls by 269 runs.

A Div (one-day): AB Colony CC 149 (A. Vishveshwar 65, Karen Singh eight for 26) lost to Gowlipura CC 150 for six (P. Bhaskar Rao 30, Karen Singh 61, A. Vishveshwar three for 45, Kiran Yadav three for 30).

A Div Institutions (one-day): HMWSSB 175 (Deepak Hotkar 66, Yousuf Suleiman 38, Somasekhar 32, Bangarau Raju three for 47, Ravindernath four for 40) lost to CCMB 176 for nine (Zia 55, Rajender Prasad 30, Ravi Yadav three for 43).
