Councillor hurt in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 24. The Valiyasala ward councillor, P. Harshan, was injured in an accident this evening. He was admitted to the Medical College Hospital. Mr. Harshan was hurt when the motorbike that he was riding was hit by an autorickshaw at Karamana, according to the hospital sources.

Arrested

As many as 17 persons, accused in various cases, were arrested following police raids in different parts of the city today. Cases have been registered against three persons for drunken driving and against 80 persons for negligent driving.
