IOC, M&M venture
NEW DELHI,
AUG. 25.
The Indian Oil Corporation today joined hands with the auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) to research on alternative fuels and energy that may lead to roll-out of India's first hydrogen engine in the next two years.
The two firms will jointly research making automobile engines that would run on bio-diesel (conventional diesel doped with non-edible oil) and hydrogen.
The IOC Chairman, M. S. Ramachandran, and the M&M Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Anand Mahindra, signed the memorandum of collaboration here. PTI
