UDHAGAMANDALAM, AUG. 25. Hundreds of people from Gudalur and Pandhalur observed a fast at the Gandhi Thidal in Gudalur today protesting the action of forest and revenue authorities in evicting farmers from "jenmam lands." The convener of the Land Rights Protection Forum, Koshy Baby, led the fast.
