KOCHI, AUG. 25. Tamil Nadu's R.R. Laxman posted a comfortable win over Aswin Jayaram in the the third round of the Cusat Open all-India FIDE-rated chess tournament here on Wednesday.

Gopal (Ker, 2.5) drew with K. Damodar Rao (AP, 2.5), R. Siddharth (TN, 3) bt K.R. Madhusoodanan (Ker, 2), Naveen Hegde (Kar, 3) bt Alex Thomas (Ker, 2), P. Phoobalan (TN, 3) bt B.
