Manjunath triumphs

MYSORE, AUG. 26. M.D. Manjunath of GFGC, Arkalgud and B.S. Veena of Teresian College for Women (Mysore) won the men's and women's cross-country races in the Mysore University Inter-collegiate cross-country championships held at Malavalli.

The results: Men (12 kms): 1. M.D. Manjunath (GFGC, Arkalgud-41:49.48s); 2. K.B. Srinivasan (YDDGFC, Belur-42:15.39s); 3.Somashekar Naika (Maharaja's-42:53.10s).

Women: 1. B.S. Veena (Teresian College-25:40.00s); 2. C.R. Usha (AVK Hassan-26:03.00s); 3. M. Radha (Marimallappa's- 26:18.00s).
