KSCA wrests lead
BANGALORE,
AUG. 26.
Host KSCA XI wrested a one-run first innings lead from ONGC in the KSCA all-India invitation cricket tournament for the MRF Trophy at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Thursday.
On the second day of the final, ONGC was bowled out for 284 in reply to KSCA XI's 285. The host was 21 for no loss in its second innings.
Vinay Kumar (four for 71) and left-arm spinner Santosh Vadeyaraj were the pick of KSCA XI's bowlers. The second innings will be over 40 overs each.
The scores:
KSCA XI 285 for eight in 90 overs and 21 for no loss vs ONGC 284 in 84.3 overs (Amith Dilip 86 n.o., Gagan Khoda 54, Gautam Datte 26, R. Vinay Kumar four for 71, S. Vadeyaraj three for 81).
