HYDERABAD, AUG. 27. The Estimates Committee of the State Assembly will be touring Chittoor district from September 6 to review functioning of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and other departments in the district, according to the panel chairman, B. Vedavyas.
Review meeting
Mr. Vedavyas told reporters here on Friday that the panel held a lengthy review meeting with heads of Government departments which was attended special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries. It was decided at the meeting to call for reports of each department so that the members of the Estimates Committee would be well prepared for subsequent meetings. The panel will have a meeting with officials of the TTD and review the functioning of the other departments. He said the proposed visit of the Bihar Estimates Committee had been postponed. The panel had decided to review departmental-wise performance from next meeting onwards so that the members could have a better understanding of the subjects.
