Special book on Pushkarams

TIRUPATI, AUG. 27. The spiritual, mythological, cultural and social facets of river Krishna, hidden in its sand-filled bed from time immemorial, has been unearthed and brought out in the form of a book. That is in brief about `Krishnaveni Tharangalu', the special edition of Sapthagiri, the monthly organ of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

The tastefully-compiled book, brought out on the occasion of Krishna Pushkarams, contains 50 analytical articles and informative pieces duly spiced up to be a treatise. Contributions from renowned writers like Jandhyala Jayakrishna Bapuji, Janumaddi Hanumacchastri, Samudrala Lakshmanaiah, S. Gangappa, Raavi Sarada, K. Seshulatha, S. Raghunatha Sarma, Pydipala and Mudivarthi Kondamacharyulu, along with impressive photographs, have made the book a wholesome treat for literature lovers.

The book costing Rs.150 is now available at a special price of Rs.75 during Pushkarams at all TTD information centres in the State.
