ISLAMABAD, AUG. 27. Shaukat Aziz, former Finance Minister and chosen nominee of the President, Pervez Musharraff, was today elected as Pakistan's Prime Minister in the ruling combine dominated National Assembly. He would be formally sworn in as Prime Minister by Gen. Musharraf along with his council of ministers. Mr. Aziz is expected to effect changes in the Government bringing in more youngsters. Mr. Aziz began his innings on an inauspicious note with the Opposition boycotting the election in protest against the decision of the Assembly Speaker, Chaudhary Amir Hussain, not agreeing to their proposal for production of jailed Opposition candidate, Javed Hashmi.
