Kongu, Sri Krishna lift titles

COIMBATORE, AUG. 27. Kongu Engineering College (Perundurai) and Sri Krishna College of Engineering claimed the men and women's title respectively in the recently concluded Anna University (Coimbatore zone) inter collegiate table tennis tournament.

The results: Men: Kongu EC (Perundurai) bt KCT (Coimbatore) Mohammed Imaan bt Jayanth Subramaniam 11-5, 11-8, 11-3, Thangavelu lost to Rajesh Kumar 11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 4-11, 11-13, Balaji Subramaniam bt Shankarlingam 11-1, 11-1, 11-3, Mohammed Imaan bt Rajesh Kumar 11-6, 11-8, 12-10.

Women: Sri Krishna CE&T bt Kongu Engineering 3-1 S. Ramya bt T. Ramya 11-0, 11-3, 11-3, Logambal lost to Dinya 2-11, 5-11, 3-11, Uma bt Bhavanya 11-5, 11-7, 12-10, S. Ramya bt Dinya 11-9, 11-5, 11-7.
