Gaganjeet hangs on to clinch title

BANGALORE, AUG. 27. Ajeetesh Sandhu's brilliant round on the final day of the all India junior/sub-junior golf came a little too late. Ajeetesh carded a career best five under 67, but Gaganjeet Bhullar who went into the final round with an eight stroke lead held on to win the title with a margin of two strokes.

This was Gaganjeet's second successive win at the par 72 Eagleton Golf resort. In the B Category, Amanjyot Singh was a winner by six strokes from Fatehbir Dhaliwal.

The results:

Category A: Gaganjeet Bhullar (71, 69, 70, 73) 283; Ajeetesh Sandhu (73, 74, 71, 67) 285; Aditya Singh (73, 72, 74, 70) 289.

Category B: Amanjyot Singh (72, 78, 79, 77) 306; Fatehbir Dhaliwal (81, 73, 78, 80) 312; Bhawani Parmar (79, 79, 86, 77) 321.

Category C: Rommel Majumdar (89, 87, 80, 79) 335; Anish Gupta (88, 87, 84, 84) 343; Khalin Joshi (89, 87, 85, 84) 345.

Category D: (54 holes) Viraat Badhawar (84, 74, 82) 240; Rahul Ravi (87, 91, 92) 270; Dhruv Sachdeva (88, 94, 91) 273.
