Teresian `B' wins tourney

MYSORE, AUG. 27. Teresian `B' got the better of its senior outfit Teresian `A' 3-2 via the tie-breaker and won the women's title in the Dhayanchand Memorial hockey tournament for women conducted by the Mysore District Hockey Association at the University grounds here on Friday. Sindhu, Leela Madhavi and Sangeetha scored for the winner while Veena and Seema converted for the runner-up.

Good Shepard Convent, Mysore won the high school girls title. In the final, it beat Cauvery HS by 8-0 margin. Right-in Jobitha scored four goals, while centre-forward Aisha scored three goals. The other goal was scored by left-extreme Priyanka.

The results:

Women (Final): Teresian `B' bt Teresian `A' 3-2 (tie-breaker). Third Place: PG Sports Council, Manasagangotri.

High School Girls (Final): Good Shepard Convent bt Cauvery High School 8-0. Third Place: JSS High School (Saraswathipuram).
