Girish wins title

MYSORE, AUG. 27. Girish A. Koushik won the title in the Independence Day Open chess tournament for U-15 boys and girls conducted by Mysore Chess Club at the Basudeva Somani FGC here recently.

Final Placings: 1. Girish A. Koushik ( 8 pts-20); 2. K. Avinash (8-19); 3. C. Arjun (7.5 pts.); 4.Sachin N Bharghav (7 pts.); 5.Adish Kadirur (6.5 pts).
