By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI. Aug. 27. Thousands witnessed the celestial bath given to `Guru Dakshinamurthy' in the Kalahasteeswara swamy temple near here on the eve of the transit of Jupiter from the zodiacal sign of Leo to Virgo.

Nearly 1,000 litres of milk, 50 kg of Panchamrutham and sandalwood powder besides, water from nearly 200 tender coconuts were made to cascade down the deity during what the temple priests called as the `Ashtothara Shatha Shankhabhishekam' performed to Guru Dakshinamurthy, said to be the `Kshethrapalaka' of the famous Siva temple.
