Loyola is volleyball champion
CHENNAI,
AUG. 28.
Loyola College emerged champion outclassing Jamal Mohamed, Tiruchi, 25-20, 25-18, 25-19 in the last four-team super league match of the Bertram inter-collegiate volleyball tournament at the Loyola premises here on Saturday.
While Loyola won all its three matches, Sacred Heart, Tirupattur, finished runner-up with two wins. Jamal Mohamed came third, and winless St. Joseph's, Tiruchi, fourth.

Volleyball: Sacred Heart bt St. Joseph's 25-19, 25-16, 25-15.
Basketball: Guru Nanak 36 (Bhoobalan 14) bt St. Peter's School 27; St. Joseph's Engg. 59 (Kasinathan 12, Hariprasad 10) bt Madura College, Madurai 38; Jamal Mohamed 43 (S. Thangavel 15, T. Sasikumar 14, K. Arun 10) bt MGR Engg. 19 (Prabhu Kumar 11); Guru Nanak 70 (Bhoobalan 32, Stephan Rajan 10) bt MCC Boys 62 (Babu Kumar 20); St. Joseph's A, Tiruchi, 75 (Prem Sharma 20, Karthik 13) bt Jamal Mohamed 64 (K.
