VIJAYAWADA, AUG. 28. Tragedy struck on the opening day of the 12-day Krishna Pushakaram today when four persons were killed and 11 injured in a stampede as thousands of people took a dip in the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh. A 50-year old man, two women and a boy were killed and 11 injured in the stampede that occured at the crowded Krishnaveni ghat.
