ATHENS, AUG. 29. ``You have won,'' International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge told the Greek people, who responded with a roar, as the curtains came down on the 28th Olympic Games here on Sunday. In the Games' concluding event, former European champion Stefano Baldini of Italy overtook Brazilian Vanderlei de Lima two kilometres from the finish to win the men's marathon. An intruder dashed on to the course in the 37th-km of the 42.195-km race, pushing de Lima into the crowd. The Brazilian, however, recovered remarkably to finish third behind American Meb Keflezighi. World champion Brazil won the men's volleyball crown, defeating Italy in the final. The United States finished atop the medal charts for the third straight edition, with China second in the gold medals list. The U.S. amassed 102 medals, bagging 35 golds to the 31 by China, which will host the 2008 edition.
