100 days in power

Sir, — The UPA Government has completed 100 days in power, after getting a fractured mandate, with parties of all hues for company. Its achievements and priorities are interesting.

It started off by replacing the Governors appointed by the earlier regime and "de-saffronising" education. The other achievements include record high inflation, crashing stock markets, inept handling of the Manipur crisis, incompetent handling of the Iraqi hostage drama, and raking up of non-issues — blaming the RSS for every ill and damning leaders like Savarkar — to divert the people's attention.

Sudheendhra Putty,
Bangalore
